Why Landlines Matter.

911 communication

When you call from a landline, your address automatically displays on the dispatcher’s screen.

Quality and reliability

With cell phones, calls can drop in the middle of a conversation. Landlines have always provided the most consistent service with the highest quality voice reception.

Service during power outages

If electricity is out, a corded landline phone will continue to work 99.9 percent of the time. Fiber customers’ phones that have battery backup will work for eight hours.
