How you can give to local pantries

The holiday season is a time to reflect on the year, feel grateful for loved ones, and get into the giving spirit. More than ever, local pantries need your help. We encourage you to look over this list of local pantries and choose the gift of your time or donations to help families in our communities.

Amana

Location: The Amana Church 1112 26th Ave, Amana.
Hours: 2nd Wednesday of each month 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. and last Sunday of every month 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Donations: To make a financial donation, send checks payable to Amana Food Pantry mailed to PO Box 103 Middle IA, 52307. Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at The Amana Church 1112 26th Ave, Amana.

Ely

Location: Ely Library at 1595 Dows Street
Hours: Mondays – Thursdays 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Fridays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Donations: To make a financial donation, send checks payable to Ely, Iowa, Friends of the Public Library with memo “pantry” to Ely Public Library 1595 Dows St, Ely, IA 52227. Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at the library.

Fairfax

Located: 313 Vanderbilt St Fairfax, IA
Hours: Monday – Tuesday 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. Wednesday – Thursday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Friday 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Donations: To make a financial donation, send checks payable to the Fairfax Food Bank to 313 Vanderbilt St Fairfax, IA. Non-perishable food donations are accepted during library hours or can be placed in the outdoor tub.

North Liberty

Location: 89 N Jones Blvd, North Liberty, IA, 52317
Hours: Monday – Thursday and Saturday 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Tuesday and Thurs 3 p.m. – 6 pm.
Donation Hours: To make a financial donation, send checks payable to North Liberty Community Pantry to 89 N Jones Blvd, North Liberty, IA, 52317. Non- perishable food donations can be dropped off Monday – Thursday 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Solon

Located: 122 N. West Street in the Solon United Methodist Church.
Hours: Mondays from 2 to 6 p.m.
Donations: To make financial donations, send checks payable Emergency Assistance Fund – PO Box 344, Solon, IA 52333. Non-perishable food donations are accepted Mondays 9-11 a.m.

Tiffin

Location: CCA Family Resource Center at 331 W. Marengo Road – located between the CCA High School and Middle School.
Hours: Mondays 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesdays 2 to 4 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Donations: To make a financial donation, send checks payable to CCA Community Food Pantry to Grace United Methodist Church, 300 W. Marengo Road, Tiffin, IA 52340. Non-perishable food donations and seasonal clothing can be dropped off at the church.
